Booking me for an event
I offer talks and workshops on the following subjects, which can be customised to suit different audiences and locations. I live now near Lampeter in West Wales.
See also my Events Page for details about my talks, workshops and show gardens in 2021.
Zoom Talks: I offer a range of virtual talks, which include a slide show and time for Q&A
I am an experienced and qualified speaker, teacher and author, and a leading authority in no dig gardening. I have been growing edible plants for over 35 years. An amateur grower since my teens, I have worked as a professional no dig kitchen gardener for 13 years, much of that time with Charles Dowding. My work includes setting up and managing gardens on private estates and for restaurants (see my Bio for more information). I have published two books including the award winning No Dig Organic Home and Garden, and am currently writing two more. A regular feature writer for Kitchen Garden magazine, I also write freelance for many other publications including The Organic Way and Grow Your Own magazine.
In 2019 speaking engagements included BBC Gardeners’ World Live, Toby’s Garden Festival, RHS Wisley, RHS Malvern, the Landscape Show London (with Huw Richards) the Permaculture Convergence Oxford and South Downs Green Fair, as well as garden clubs, WIs and other organisations across the country. In 2020 almost all of my talks were cancelled due to Covid.
The talks are fully illustrated with slides and I often bring interesting props to handle and smell.
Contact me for further details and to discuss your requirements. Prices vary according to location and length of talk/workshop. I am based in Lampeter, Wales.
