Talks at RHS Bridgewater for International Women’s Day

Delighted to be joining a panel of women horticulturists at RHS Bridgewater in Salford, for International Women’s Day.
I’ll be talking about how gardening and horticulture can start as a hobby and become a career. After years of growing my own, I started gardening professionally in my early 40s, when I was also raising 3 children as a skint single mum. It transformed my life – even though I have no professional hort qualifications . Not only have I worked in some remarkable gardens, my career now includes working as an edible garden consultant, educator, writer, author, presenter and homesteader.
