Edible Flower Workshops

Learn how to grow your own edible flowers and discover fabulous things to do with them on these fun, inspirational and delicious Edible Flower Workshops.

edible flower workshopI’ve been growing edible flowers for many years, at home and as part of my work, including growing edible flowers for acclaimed restaurants and clients.

As well as growing, harvesting and selling these gorgeous blooms, I write about and teach what to do with your colourful, fragrant harvests.

Here at my homestead I grow edible flowers year round (even in the depths of winter) and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for growing them with you.

Find out about the other courses I run here at the homestead and across the UK here. I teach this workshop at other locations across the UK (and beyond) and offer a shorter one hour talk in person or via zoom – please contact me to arrange this.

The best edible flowers to choose for your needs
Companion planting and boosting biodiversity with edible flowers
How to pick edible flowers to maximise productivity
Seed saving (so you can grow them for free)
Preserving, packaging and storing techniques
How to dry the flowers for year round use

Recipes for sweet and savoury dishes, drinks, preserves, pickles, flower sprinkles and more
Crafts including dyeing, printing, paper making, homecare products, seasonal decorations

The day starts at 10:30 (please arrive after 10) and ends around 4:30.

Edible flower workshop location and other information

The gardening courses takes place entirely outside in the garden and some of the garden buildings including the polytunnel and outdoor kitchen (an open fronted barn).

The groups are small and very friendly, so that everyone can enjoy themselves and participate. Please let me know if you have allergies and dietary requirements. The recipes are almost all plant based.

Situated an easy 10 minute drive from Lampeter, Ceredigion, full details of location are provided when you book.

Please read the Terms and Conditions, including the cancellation policy, before booking. Thank you!

There are plenty of places to stay in the area, ranging from stunning glamping sites, to gorgeous seaside hotels. There’s a list of suggested places to visit here.

The courses are not suitable for children or dogs, except assistance dogs on leads.

Accessibility

The gardens are accessed via a short flight of steps from the lane. Some of the gardens are fairly flat, but the orchard is sloped. It is not a very steep incline but is on a hill. Please contact me for more information and to discuss your needs.
