SUMMARY:RHS Chelsea Flower Show
DESCRIPTION:I am delighted to have been invited by award winning designer Juliet Sargeant to speak on the Blue Peter Garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2022. The theme of the garden is Discover Soil. An aim of this interactive garden is to demonstrate to children and adults the crucial role of soil\, and explain how remarkable and full of life soil is. \nAward winning designer Juliet SargeantPhoto credit: Juliet Sargeant Landscapes \n ‘Down-trodden and neglected\, soil is the “forgotten climate solution” beneath our feet\,’: Juliet Sargeant. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nSoil sequesters more carbon than anything else on the planet – which is why no dig gardening is so climate friendly\, because digging releases carbon into the atmosphere. \nI’ll be there on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th\, hosting Q&A sessions about soil on the Blue Peter Garden (times below\, subject to weather!) I am also attending Press Day Chelsea Flower Show on Monday 23rd May – contact me here to arrange an appointment on the 23rd. \nFriday 27th May: 10am\, 12pm\, 2pm\, 4pm\, 6pm \nSaturday 28th May: 10am\, 12pm\, 2pm\, 4pm \nI am so looking forward to seeing Juliet’s garden and sharing the joy of soil with you all. What a treat! \nAfter the show\, this Blue Peter garden will be permanently situated at RHS Bridgewater in Manchester. \nIn 2021 I designed the RHS No Dig Allotment Demonstration Garden at RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival (with Charles) and project managed this for over 18 months. This is the first time I have been invited to speak at Chelsea. \n
