SUMMARY:Talks at RHS Bridgewater for International Women's Day
DESCRIPTION:Delighted to be joining a panel of women horticulturists at RHS Bridgewater in Salford\, for International Women’s Day. \nI’ll be talking about how gardening and horticulture can start as a hobby and become a career. After years of growing my own\, I started gardening professionally in my early 40s\, when I was also raising 3 children as a skint single mum. It transformed my life – even though I have no professional hort qualifications . Not only have I worked in some remarkable gardens\, my career now includes working as an edible garden consultant\, educator\, writer\, author\, presenter and homesteader. \nSaturday March 9th\n12:30 – 13:15 Talk\n14:30 – 15:30 Q&A with the panel \nSunday March 10th\n10:30-11:15 Talk

SUMMARY:No Dig talks at BBC Gardeners' World Live
DESCRIPTION:I am delighted to be talking  about no dig gardening and growing your own food on the We Grow Stage on Lucy Hutchings show garden The Secret Homestead\, at BBC Gardeners World Live in Birmingham. I am speaking there on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th June 2023\, along with some fabulous speakers including Jason Williams aka The Cloud Gardener and Chris Collins from Garden Organic. \nThis slideshow requires JavaScript. \nI’ve been hosting gardening talks at BBC Gardeners’ World Live for some years now\, and always really enjoy the event. There’s so much to do and see there. This year I am especially looking forward to seeing Lucy’s show garden\, which promises to be remarkable. \nIf you are attending the show on Saturday\, don’t miss soil ecologist Becky Searle\, who is speaking on the garden at 1pm. \nI am also there for Press Day on Wednesday 14th June with my “Garden and Food Writer” hat on\, but the event isn’t open to the public then. \n \n
