Mulching and planting my no dig polytunnel
I love tomatoes, aubergines, cucumbers, peppers and chillis – having a polytunnel gives me the opportunity to grow these in abundance. Last Monday morning (23rd May) the polytunnel looked like this:

My no dig allotment is approximately 75 ft x 14 ft and provides vegetables, fruit, herbs and some flowers year round. I love the simplicity and abundance of my plot: gardening there is a real pleasure.
On April 4th, Charles, Felix (a German university student who is working at Homeacres with Charles for four months) and I travelled to Axminster, Devon for the River Cottage ‘Meet the Experts’ Day, where Charles and I were two of the experts giving talks.
My vision for the garden is to make it full of delicious abundance and as self sufficient in compost and fertility as possible by the end of 2016 – all as frugally as I can with minimum impact on the environment.
