No dig gardening, Small Scale Homesteading and other talks and workshops booked so far this year.
Every year I give many talks to gardening associations, WIs, and other groups and I’ve just been updating my Talks and Workshops page this morning.
As well as these talks I have some larger public events coming up. These are the confirmed ones so far:
May 2nd and 3rd – Toby’s Garden Festival – Powderham Castle, Devon. Talking No Dig on the stage and also have a book stall in the Sitting Area  where I’ll be chatting no dig and seasonal root to shoot recipes. Signed copies of my books and some of Charles’ for sale. Tickets are excellent value – only  £10 a ticket for an event packed with talks, workshops and fantastic food.
May 12th – South Downs Green Fair – talking the Creative Kitchen, making seasonal plant based recipes and there all day with a book stall next to Permaculture Magazine. This is such a fun event, a real rural fun day out with delicious food stalls, live music, talks and workshops. Only £8 for adults (children £3.50) May 12th is also Gardens Day UK
May 19th – Alhampton Gardens Open Day – Charles Dowding’s No Dig Garden will be open as part of this village event. Charles and I will both be there talking no dig. Teas and lunches available in the village. Tickets are for sale on the day (not in advance).
June 13th – BBC Gardeners’ World Live – NEC, Birmingham – No Dig Allotments on the Let’s Talk Allotments stage. I am there for the press day on Wednesday and Friday/part of Saturday too. There’s currently a 15% discount on ticket sales with the code  WEB15

September 1st – Homeacres Open Day – our annual open gardens, parking is in a nearby field (please don’t block the narrow lanes!) For on-site drop off for disabled and less mobile contact Charles. Free admission. Lunches and refreshments in the village.
September 3rd – 6th Wisley Flower Show 2019
I’ll be giving talks about no dig small scale homesteading on the 3rd, 5th and 6th. More information about this lovely event soon. Last year it was opened by Judi Dench!
September 6th – 8th – Permaculture Convergence 2019, Oxford – a 3 day event filled with workshops, food stalls, music and speakers. I will be speaking about no dig, small scale homesteading, plant based food and making potions! Other confirmed speakers include Alys Folwer, Brigit Strawbridge and Maddy Harland. Camping is available at this event.
Lovely. See you on the 13th of June. I’m trying Rhubarb as a veg from your recipes this afternoon.
Suella
See you there! Have fun with the rhubarb. I’m in a very rainy Ireland at the moment, picking Charles up soon & then driving to the airport on our way home.
Good to see that you have lots of events and talks coming up. South Downs Green Fair looks particularly great.
Thank you, it’s a great way of seeing a bit more of the country
