Terms and Conditions

Payment

Course and workshop payments must be made in full at the time of booking.

Reserve List

If your preferred date is full, please contact us to be added to the reserve list. We will notify you if there are any cancellations.

Minimum number of attendees

If the minimum number of attendees has not been met 14 days before the course date, the course may be cancelled (with a full refund) or rescheduled.

Informing us of special requirements

Attendees will be bringing their own picnic lunches. We provide water and hot drinks, with local dairy milk. Please let us know if you have any serious allergies that we need to inform other attendees about or if you require a plant based milk for your beverages.

The courses take place in the fresh air, in the polytunnel and also the garden shelter/outdoor kitchen, which is fully ventilated.

The courses take place outside in the gardens which is rich in wildlife. If you are allergic to insect stings etc, please bring appropriate medication.

There are no pets or livestock at the premises. There are usually sheep and cows in the fields surrounding the property.

Accessibility

The courses take place outside in the gardens here, with some sheltered areas. Being part of a hillside and a working garden, the grounds are sloped and uneven, with steps to the back garden, orchard and compost loo. The land can become slippery during wet weather. Please contact us to discuss any specific accessibility needs and how we can help you.

Children

The courses are not suitable for children.

Pets

The courses are not suitable for pets.

Weather

Wales is a beautiful, lush green country and it rains a lot. Come prepared for all weather! “There’s no such thing as bad weather. Only unsuitable clothing.” Alfred Wainwright.

If we cancel a course

In the event that we need to cancel a course, you will be offered a full refund or the option of booking on another available date, or a course voucher. We are not liable for any transportation, accommodation or other costs that may arise from such a cancellation.

Cancellations and Swaps

Due to the limited number of places at our courses, we are unable to refund course purchases unless you give 28 days notice, to enable a resale. Refunds will be minus £10 to cover admin and loss of income from transaction fees from Paypal etc. Alternatively, we can offer you a voucher for another course, or another date.

We will endeavour to resell any cancellations made within 28 days of the course date, and if successful will refund (minus £10 to cover admin and loss of income from transaction fees from Paypal etc) or we can offer you a voucher for another course, or another date. If the place does not resell then we can not refund, or offer a new date or voucher.

If a friend or family member will be attending the course in your place, please let us know who they are so we can welcome them.

Force Majeure

We cannot be held liable for failure or delay in the performance of our obligations if this delay or failure is due to an unforeseeable act or event which is beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”).

Acts or events constituting Force Majeure Events include, but are not limited to, Acts of God, government intervention, a change in the law, epidemic and/or pandemic, or some other type of supervening event over which we don’t have control.

If affected by a Force Majeure Event, we will notify you soon as soon as reasonably practicable.

Coronavirus

We have a responsibility to adhere to any rules from the Welsh Government and keep everyone safe. The courses take place in the open air and well ventilated outdoor buildings with open doors. For your hygiene, we offer sanitising liquid hand soap and hand sanitiser (made from Welsh gin!)

Liability

You are advised not to bring items of value with you. We do not accept responsibility for loss of personal possessions.

Conduct

Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to leave, with no refund.

Insurance

We have Public Liability Insurance. You are advised to take out your own insurance against loss of fees due to illness, personal accident or failure to attend.

Filming and recording

You may not film or record on the premises without permission. Photography is fine. Please respect the privacy of our neighbours and others in the village. No drone photography.
